Frequently Asked Questions
All permanent makeup treatments require 2 sessions for successful results. It is completely normal for the pigment soften and lighten up during the initial session. A touch-up is important for multiple factors including skin reaction, healing processes, proper aftercare, lifestyle, medications used, body metabolism and etc. The touch-up session should be scheduled and performed no sooner than 4 weeks after the initial procedure and not later than 8 weeks.
Please note we can not guarantee results. Each client’s skin responds differently both in how long it takes to heal and the number of sessions needed for colour retention. This is is why is important that you take good care of your treatment while healing and beyond.

Pre / Post Care Lip Blushing
If you booked your treatment with us this is what you need to do to get the best results. Your lips should be in the best possible condition before coming to the clinic for your treatment session. It is absolutely crucial that you follow all pre-care instructions to ensure you have the most successful lip treatment.
Prepare the lips by exfoliating 3-5 days prior and moisturise the lips often until the day of your appointment. By hydrating the lips, will maximise the results.
- Don’t have lip filler for at least 4-6 weeks prior your treatment.
- Don’t apply glycolic acid to the lips 2 weeks prior to your treatment.
- Don’t take fish Oil or Vitamin E one week prior ( natural blood thinners).
- Avoid taking blood thinning medication.
- Don’t schedule any facial, micro-needling, peels or laser treatment for at least 3 weeks prior to your appointment.
IMPORTANT:
- We will not be able to do the lip treatment over any cold sores or moles in the area.
- If you suffer from cold-sores we recommend to see your doctor to prescribe you with antibiotic a week prior to your treatment, this will prevent breakout and spread.
** Not following pre-care instructions will result in rescheduling your appointment and forfeiting your deposit **
Alcohol and caffeine increases blood pressure and thins the blood. This causes bleeding during the lip treatment and poor colour deposit.
- Don’t drink alcohol 24 hrs prior.
- Don’t consume coffee or other caffeine products 24 hours prior.
Clients who don’t follow the pre-care instructions can only lead to skin sensitivities during the treatment, excessing bleeding during the session causing poor colour retention and poor results.
Looking after your lip blushing treatment is one of the most important parts of the process. How well you take care of your treatment over the next 7 days will ultimately determine healing and colour retention. Right after your treatment the artist will walk you through step by step how to properly look after your treatment so you can achieve the best results.
