If you booked your treatment with us, following all pre-care instructions is essential for achieving the be best results. These steps are key to ensuring a smooth, successful treatment.
Why avoid Coffee & Alcohol?
To ensure optimal results, avoid caffeine and alcohol for 24 hrs before your appointment. These can thin the blood and increase bleeding, affecting color retention during your treatment.
How to prepare for my treatment?
Please follow the pre-care instructions to maximise the results of your treatment
1. Exfoliate lips 3-5 days prior the lip treatment.
2. Moisturise the lips often using vaseline 3 times a day is possible.
3. No alcohol or coffee for 24hrs prior treatment.
3. Avoid take fish oil vitamin E one week prior ( natural blood thinners)
4. No injectables 3 weeks prior to the treatment in the lip area only.
5. The skin must be free of all irritations including blisters or eczema.
6. If you are under cancer treatment please consult your doctor first prior getting this treatment done.
7. Avoid sun tanning for one week prior.
IMPORTANT:
We wont be able to do the lip treatment over any cold sores or moles in the area. If you suffer from cold sores we recommend to see your doctor to prescribe you with antibiotic a week prior the lip treatment, this will prevent breakout and spread.
**Not following the pre-care instructions will result in rescheduling your appointment and forfeiting your deposit.**
What happens if I don't follow the pre-care instructions?
Skipping pre-care instructions, like avoiding alcohol and caffeine, can lead to more bleeding during your treatment session. This can dilute the pigment, causing uneven color and reducing the longevity of your results. Also if you forgot hydrate lips prior treatment can also lead to poor results.
What is the aftercare?
After your treatment, Shirley will provide personalized aftercare instructions tailored to your skin type and treatment specifics.
