POLICIES

We always want to make our customers happy, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have rules we expect everyone to follow. Prior to booking any treatment, we expect our clients to read and review our policies and FAQ. These regulations ensure that both client and practitioner are on the same page when it comes to clinic rules, booking, treatments, and payment. When you submit your deposit to book an appointment, you are agreeing to the following policies.

clinic terms & conditions

No Children:
We mean it! Due to the nature of the procedures we offer, as well as products and equipment we use, children should not be present at any time during a procedure. Clients arriving with young children will be subject to a $250 fee to reschedule their appointment. Safety is a priority at our clinic, and we take it very seriously.

Late Arrival:
To ensure timely service to each of our clients, we may need to reduce or reschedule your appointment if you arrive more than 20 minutes late. If you are late to the extent that we are unable to accommodate your appointment, you will be subject to a $125 late rescheduling fee.

Treatment Completion:
All first-time permanent makeup and medical micropigmentation treatments are spread across 2 to 4 sessions. These sessions are necessary for most cosmetic tattooing procedures. The amount of sessions needed depends on the treatment type and individual’s skin and healing. In some cases it is recommended to have a final follow up appointment  4-6 weeks after the last touch-up session.  If you decide to not return for your touch-up appointment or final follow up appointment, you will still be charged the full treatment cost, without exception.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you stick to this very generous timeframe and that your appointment is booked accordingly. Any appointment booked outside of this period mention above will incur an extra charge.

Treatment Done Elsewhere:
If at any time, you go to another technician after Shirley has done your original procedure, Shirley can no longer perform any future touch-ups. If you’ve had previous permanent makeup or micropigmentation treatments done elsewhere and require corrective work you will need to inform Shirley prior to booking a treatment. It will for Shirley to decide whether or not a procedure will be possible. Clients that have had micropigmentation performed by another technician will be charged the full price for the first visit with Shirley regardless of the procedure. Once the free follow-up procedure is completed, any further work constitutes a new procedure and is charged accordingly.

Free Consultation:
A free consultation is required for every client, especially medical pigmentation clients. This is so we can accurately assess the extent of treatment you desire. During the consultation we will go over your concerns and goals, and create a plan to give you the micropigmentation of your dreams.

FAQ

PERMANENT MAKEUP

Got a Question?

Making the decision to get semi-permanent makeup (also called “permanent makeup” or micropigmentation”) will change your whole outlook on life. Waking up every day ready to face the mirror, and the world, will boost your self-esteem and confidence.

You will save time and money on daily makeup application. With Permanent Makeup you can add colour to eyebrows, eyelid, and lips. Permanent makeup offers the most natural-looking results.

Most people are suitable for permanent makeup procedures. At the clinic, either Shirley herself or one of her elite team will discuss which treatments will suit you best, while taking into account your expectations and any features you wish to correct or balance.

Permanent makeup is suitable for all ethnicities. Shirley has an excellent understanding of skin tone and colour theory, meaning she’s an expert in permanent makeup for any skin tone.

Absolutely! all pigments are made of natural minerals that are specifically selected for their safe, non-toxic ,and hypoallergenic properties. Health and Safety is paramount, as Unyozi Beauty-Permanent Makeup & Scalp Micro uses only the latest state of the art equipment that is sterilized for every appointment. All needles are disposable and remain in sterile packaging until being used. A code of practice is followed to ensure a clean treatment that meets the strictest hygiene and sterilization standards. Shirley Marin holds all relevant certificates and licenses along with comprehensive liability risk insurance.

Permanent Makeup can last anywhere from 1-5 years, depending on the individual’s skin regeneration. Because everyone is different, the pigments will fade at the client’s rate of skin exfoliation. An annual touch-up appointment is recommended to refresh the design, as well as keep the colour fresh and vibrant. Overall the Micropigmentation will last as long it is maintained.

Yes, the healed result will look very natural indeed. We at Unyozi Beauty- Permanent Makeup & Scalp Micro are proud to show the healed results with examples of different skin tones and features on our website and social media. We tailor the look, color, tone and intensity to best suit you.

Compared to cosmetic enhancements such as Fillers or Botox, which require frequent and costly maintenance, permanent makeup gives you long-lasting results for a relatively low cost. However, in the cosmetics industry, it is usually the higher end of the market that will deliver the most effective results. For this reason, quality of service should guide your decision rather than price alone when considering any cosmetic procedure.

Shirley is a high-end micropigmentation specialist and her clinic is becoming popular and well known for listening to clients’ needs in order to achieve the most natural enhancement with a scale of prices to suit most budgets.

A full assessment of your medical background will be made prior to your treatment. There are some occasions when people are not suitable for permanent cosmetics. We will let you know if this is case when considering your individual medical issues, although this is fairly uncommon with today’s health standards. Post procedural instructions, if followed carefully, will greatly reduce any risk of improper healing or infection. Medical problems associated with cosmetic tattooing are often linked to poor attention to the required aftercare process by the client. Following the aftercare instructions is very important.

Got a Question?

The beauty of Medical Micropigmentation is that it offers visual enhancement and long-lasting results that can enhance your features with a soft natural look. Medical Micropigmentation is an advanced form of cosmetic tattooing that can help you regain confidence and fell your best!

Medical Micropigmentation usually takes a number of sessions to achieve the desired and final results. Everyone is unique and this is very much dependent on the individual. All this will be explained to you in full detail during your consultation and treatment.

A patch test is used to determine if you have any allergies or sensitivities to micropigmentation pigments. Small amounts of pigment are placed against the skin to see if any reaction occurs. It is rare to have a reaction, however, it does happen and it’s best to know in advance. Depending on treatment type and medical history, Shirley will let you know during your consultation if a patch test is recommended.

Because of the lack of legislation and the expense that goes into formal training in cosmetic tattooing, there are a many undertrained people offering substandard work. This is a great shame as it only causes upset and expense to correct results from less reputable artists. If you are considering medical micropigmentation procedures, it is best to wait until you can do so with a qualified technician. Going with a cheaper option could cost you more than money and frustration.

FAQ

removal & correction

Got a Question?

We are also able to help to those who have undertaken Permanent Makeup or Scalp Micropigmentation treatments performed by other clinics who are not satisfied with the work that was done and also advise on the best course of action to correct or remove existing treatment.

If you have had permanent makeup or scalp micropigmentation done elsewhere and are unhappy with the results, either Shirley herself or one of her elite team may be able to help the pigment fade. We use a combination of techniques in order to correct the pigment. If you would like to correct or camouflage the previous treatment, this can be a great alternative. If you want to remove the treatment completely we also do laser tattoo removal.

There can be multiple reasons: an unqualified artist, lack of experience, wrong pigment colour, a shape that doesn’t match you features and so on. Not all permanent makeup practitioners have the depth of experience collected from years of practice. Practitioners of a lower level may be excellent at the treatments, but not skilled or confident enough to tackle a correction job. Artists like Shirley and her elite team go through extensive training on correctional work and are highly skilled in fixing undesirable results.

If you don’t feel comfortable or confident returning to the artist who initially performed your treatment, at our clinic we can help you achieve the results you wanted from the beginning.

It will depend on the complexity of your case to be corrected such as an uneven or unflattering shape, if the pigment colour is incorrect or if the pigment is too saturated. Correcting your previous procedure could take 3 to 8 sessions or laser tattoo removal
spread up to 4 weeks apart. It may be also possible to lighten it using special techniques to accelerate pigment fading.

In many cases we are able to correct cosmetic tattooing mistakes, so do not hesitate to contact us for permanent makeup or scalp micropigmentation advice and corrective treatments whenever possible. Please get in touch and book a free consultation to assess the treatment that suits you best. If we feel we cannot meet a client’s expectations we will always communicate our limitations to avoid any disappointment.
